Do You Measure Up?

Summary
In the fourth Beatitude, Jesus declares, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” As we move through the Beatitudes, we see a progression: recognizing our spiritual poverty, grieving our sin, walking in meekness, and then developing a deep hunger for the righteousness only God can provide. Every person wrestles with the question, “Do I measure up?” We often seek acceptance through achievement, reputation, or self-justification, yet these pursuits never truly satisfy. Jesus points us to a righteousness that comes from outside ourselves through His grace and is worked within us by His Spirit.
