Children's Sunday School

GROWING IN CHRIST TOGETHER

We believe children grow in faith when they are known, loved, and taught the truth of God’s Word in community. Sunday School is more than an hour of learning—it’s where young hearts begin to see the beauty of the gospel and how every part of Scripture points to Jesus.

Our teachers partner with parents to help children know, love, and follow Christ. Each lesson connects the Bible’s big story to everyday life, showing how God’s grace shapes our hearts, our choices, and our relationships. Together, we want every child to walk away confident that they belong to Christ and are part of His people.

God Keeps His Promises

Isn’t it wonderful that God ALWAYS keeps his promises? In thirteen lessons, children will follow God’s amazing unfolding promises to Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, and David to their fulfillment in Jesus our Savior. Children will be encouraged by God’s love and faithfulness to his people through these lessons.

First - Third Grades

Living Together

Younger elementary children are developing relationships with people outside the family circle, but home is still of central importance to them and therefore an excellent vehicle for teaching what it means to live in God’s family. This semester, children will be challenged to trust and obey their loving heavenly Father, who has called them to belong to His family and has revealed who He is through His Word.  Specifically, children will be learning about the families of Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Jacob and Joseph.

Fourth and Fifth Grades:

Understanding the Faith

This communicant’s class is designed to help children understand their salvation in Christ and membership in the church.  The workbook is an age appropriate tool for teaching the truths of our faith based on the Westminster Shorter Catechism. In addition, students who take the class will talk about baptism and the sacraments. Completion of the book gives the student the opportunity to become a member.
