I was raised in a Christian home in Delaware County, PA. My parents love the Lord and tried their best to instill their faith and values in me, but when I was 18 I walked away from God, the church, and my family. I spent 8 years running away as far as I could, but in August 2007, at 26 years old, God drew me back to Him, and I gave my life to Christ at an outdoor service at Calvary Chapel Delaware County. My life radically changed after that day, but at the same time it’s been a slow process of sanctification and I’m trusting the Lord that He is continuing to work in my life to make me more like Jesus.
In December of 2008, I met my husband, Rich, at a game night with friends from Calvary Chapel. Rich and I were married 3 years later in November of 2011 and attended City Church of Wilmington (PCA) for the first 6 years of our marriage. Rich and I had our first child, Julia, in February 2015. We’ve been attending Cornerstone since August of 2018 after feeling led by the Lord to look for a new church. Our son, Nolan, was born in February 2019, and we felt so much love from our new church family during my difficult pregnancy and a scary episode at A.I. Dupont when Nolan was 3 days old. To say Cornerstone is a gift is not doing justice to how wonderful it is to be a part of this community, but it truly does feel like a gift from God to be here.
I’ve been a stay at home mom since Julia was 10 months old. I started homeschooling Julia in kindergarten, and although it wasn’t my plan to homeschool, I have come to see the blessings of having her at home with me. I’m thankful for grandparents who are helping with homeschooling while I work part time as an Administrative Assistant at church. I love this job, and it is a blessing to serve the Lord in this way.
I also serve as a Life Group Leader and a Greeter. My husband serves as a Life Group Leader, and you’ll see him on the stage playing on the worship team.
