Julia would rather be planting flowers and working outside than writing a bio. She’s held jobs ranging from teaching basket weaving in the Rocky Mountains, teaching Pre-Calculus in Ohio, writing statistical software at DuPont, to teaching her three children to read. She loves this new variety of work with a great staff and a church that has meant so much to their family in the 3 1/2 years they’ve attended. Julia lived for 25 years in Cincinnati, Ohio. She grew up in a supportive, fun family who enjoyed spending time together and was blessed with committed, loving, wise, and a little crazy church youth group and YoungLife leaders. She met her husband, Brad, at a small Christian college in Indiana and moved to Delaware in 2001. The only thing that would make living in this corner of the east coast more perfect is being closer to extended family. Thankfully, Brad is a teacher and together with their 3 kids, they have summers available to travel and spend time with family. God’s faithfulness truly is great (she sings to the kids who will still let her) and as she was just reminded and needs to be reminded daily, Jesus is the Good Shepherd who has torn the veil that separated us from him and he hears our prayers. “For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to RECONCILE to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making PEACE by the blood of his cross. And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you HOLY and BLAMELESS and above reproach before him…” Colossians 1: 19-22
