Dan and Sue Smith have been members of Cornerstone for the past twenty years. Dan was ordained a Ruling Elder at Cornerstone in 2008 and served for a number of years prior to taking a sabbatical from the Session to address the significant work/life demands. Dan and Sue also were part of the core group that left Cornerstone to start Stillwaters Church, formerly known as Kennett Community Church, where Dan served in the leadership with Pastor Tony Stephens. Dan has been a leader in multiple ministries at Cornerstone including leading two Life Groups and teaching adult Sunday School. Prior to Cornerstone, Dan and Sue attended Church in the Vineyard where Dan also served as an Elder.
Dan became a believer at age five, grew up in Delaware County, PA and received a BS in Bible from Philadelphia College of Bible (now Cairn University). Dan and Sue have been married for thirty years, have had five children, and adopted a sixth child from China. Dan’s vocation is Cyber Security and is the Chief Information Security Officer for CCC Intelligent Solutions.
Dan’s and Sue love Cornerstone. They have grown in community and in ministry within the Cornerstone church family and are so thankful for the blessings that they have received and the opportunities to use their gifts for the kingdom that have been afforded to them through the various ministries of the church. They are eager to see what the Lord will do in the coming months and years through the ministry of this church.
