The Family Promise VISION: Family Promise of Southern Chester County is committed to alleviating homelessness in Southern Chester County, Pennsylvania.

The Family Promise MISSION: Family Promise of Southern Chester County is organized to help children and their families experiencing homelessness achieve sustainable housing and stability by providing shelter, meals, and comprehensive support services through a network of congregations and volunteers.

Update: As of August, 2020, Family Promise reports, “We are a long way from being able to restart the rotational program, but have already begun looking into alternatives for when they are needed.  For now we continue to house our guests at the temporary location, which is ideal in that the families can be together, but are separately and safely housed.” As of August, Family Promise had provided approximately $98,000 of total assistance year-to-date to 80 families.

Many of the families need help with gas money and/or groceries. This is especially important when families are transitioning into their own home to get back on their feet.  Gift cards are always appreciated and a great way to offer that support.  Here are some suggestions.

  • Amazon gift cards
  • GIANT gift cards
  • Walmart gift cards
  • Wawa gift cards

Monetary donations are always appreciated. Click the Donate button below.

All furniture donations should be sent to the Community Warehouse Project in West Chester, where families can “shop” when they are ready to move into their own home.  You can contact them at (484) 473-4360
