A Prayer for the Weary Soul

Psalm 13 | Sermon Resources | 13 July 2025

Summary

Pastor Billy begins a new sermon series this week focused on praying through the Psalms. Each week we will look at a different psalm to see what it teaches us about how to pray.  We begin with Psalm 13 which is a psalm of lament.  We see David surrendering his tears to the Lord in prayer and in the end being filled with abundant joy.

  3. Do you tend to ignore strong emotions like sorrow or do you tend to give full vent to your feelings?  How so?
  4. How does this psalm show us a better “third way” in dealing with things like sorrow?

  6. What is one thing you will do as a result of studying this psalm?
