A Sharper Focus for our Vision

For a little over a year now Cornerstone has been pursuing a new vision:

To see the love of God transform people into mature disciples of Jesus Christ who love God above all else and who sacrificially love others.

This is who we are. This is what we are about. This directs our prayers and our footsteps.

As we enter the fall and begin again new year of ministry, we seek to bring that vision into sharper focus. To that end, we are asking that God take us DEEPER.

Deeper in the love of Jesus.

Deeper in the gospel.

Deeper in community

Deeper in discipleship.

Deeper in outreach.

Deeper in all that God has for us.

We are asking God to grow us up tall and in order to do that we believe we need to first send roots down deep.

We want to drill down into the transformative power of the gospel.

When Paul prays for the Ephesians, he asks:

“That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

Ephesians 3:17-19

This fall we are specifically asking God to take us deeper in community.

Here are 3 ways we are asking you to join us in our vision to go deeper.

Challenge #1: Make an effort to meet someone new Sunday morning.

Challenge #2: Invite someone to your home for Sunday lunch.

Challenge #3: Join a Life Group.
