Discussion Questions

  1. Read Philemon 6 together. How does sharing your faith give you a full understanding of everything you have in Christ?
  2. Which of these verses are meaningful to you as you consider your witness to others:
    • Do to others as you would have them do to you (Luke 6:31).
    • If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with everyone (Romans 12:18).
    • Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry (James 1:19).
    • “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8a).
    • “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity… And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:12-14, 17).
  3. What do you need to do to develop your friendship with a family member or friend so you can go deeper in sharing the gospel?
  4. Make a commitment to pray this daily: Lord, here am I. Send me, use me, and give me boldness today to make opportunities to share the gospel of grace and the love of Christ. Amen.
