Jesus Came To…Serve

Mark 10:35-45    |   Sermon Resources      12 December 2021

Sermon Summary

This week we remember that Jesus came to serve and give his life as a ransom for many. This statement came in the context of James and John seeking glory for themselves and the angry reaction of the other ten disciples. Jesus contrasts the authority of the world with the way he came to use his authority. He challenges them, “But it shall not be so among you,” and offers himself as the ultimate example of servanthood.
