Matthew 6:10     Sermon Resources    |   11 July 2021

Sermon Summary

In the sermon this week Pastor Billy continues the sermon series on the Lord's Prayer, coming to the second petition, your kingdom come.  We will consider what this phrase actually means and explore some ways we can pray it.

Discussion Questions

  1. What is the difference between the kingship of God and the kingdom of God?
  2. How might our prayers change if we really believed that God established his kingdom and accomplished his will through our prayers?
  3. In what ways would you like the see the kingdom of God more firmly established in your life?
  4. In the sermon Pastor Billy suggested 4 ways for us to pray for God’s kingdom to come: (1) the conversion of sinners, (2) the destruction of the devil’s work, (3) the renewal of God’s people, (4) the arrival of the king.
  • Which of these do you most need to pray for for yourself?
  • Within that category, what specifically do you see a need to pray for?
  • What change or growth might happen as a result?
