Nursery Coordinator: Laura Saavedra Hubbard

Originally from Bowie, Maryland, Laura spent 7 years in Memphis working with Young Life, involved in her home church with youth groups and singles ministry. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biblical Studies from Crichton College (formerly Mid South Bible College) in 1991. Laura then served faithfully for 3 years in Arequipa Peru with SIM (formerly Sudan Interior Missions) until the Lord brought her home to Maryland in 1996.

She returned to Memphis in 1998 where her background as an Executive Assistant for international corporations was key in helping her church organize and open a Daycare ministry where she served as Director for 18 months. Laura has several years experience as a Pre-K assistant in special needs class and most recently an elementary substitute teacher before moving to Pennsylvania from Maryland in 2013. Laura is married to Jon Hubbard and together they are raising their three children, Elias, Christian and Patricia.
